Dr Michael Cai is a Sydney CBD dentist with over 18 years of focused practice across cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, and longevity-oriented dental care. As principal of Pitt Street Dental Centre, he has placed and restored more than 3,000 dental implants personally.

Dr Cai graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science (Honours) from the University of Western Australia in 2008, receiving the Australian Dental Research Foundation (ADRF) and Delta Sigma Delta research scholarships for his academic work.

His background as a trained dental technician gives him a grounded understanding of how implant and aesthetic restorations are designed and fabricated.

In 2010 he completed the Master Clinician Program in Implant Dentistry at the University of California, Los Angeles, alongside additional training at the GIDE Institute. He holds MRACDS (GDP) from the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons by examination and is a member in good standing of the Australian Dental Association.

Dr Cai’s research has been published in two peer-reviewed journals: Materials (MDPI, 2018) and the Australian Endodontic Journal (2023). He serves as a medical and dental expert witness for medical-legal cases and as a key opinion leader trialling dental materials for a number of dental companies.
