Dr Rajiv “Andy” Kumar BDS, MDS (Pros, Ind), FICD, FPFA, was born and raised in Chandigarh, North India, where he graduated and completed his Masters in Dental Surgery. He practised dentistry in a premier hospital in postgraduate clinics as a senior fellow resident. In 2004, he moved to Sydney, Australia. He is an Australian Dental Council certified dentist and has worked exclusively in private practice.
With a strong enthusiasm for his profession, Dr Kumar is committed to ongoing education and training to stay current in the field.
Dr Kumar focuses on creating natural-looking results with aesthetic veneers, restorations and crowns, and takes pride in his attention to detail and considered approach. His goal is to provide thorough dental treatment in a comfortable clinical environment. His strengths include patience, attention to detail and a gentle and caring manner.
He is committed to providing patients with thorough restorative and preventative treatment, with an emphasis on discussing options relevant to each patient’s long-term oral health.
Dr Kumar is well-presented, calm and passionate about delivering treatment using current techniques. His areas of clinical interest include aesthetic crowns and veneers customised to facial features, dental implants, gum contouring and general dentistry including restorations, root canal treatment, wisdom teeth removal, jaw pain, and treatment for snoring and sleep apnoea.
He is a member of various international and national dental societies and has completed his implants accreditation through the Australian Society of Implant Dentistry. He continues to develop his knowledge in cosmetic dentistry and implants through ongoing professional development.
