Dr Michael Cai and the team at Pitt Street Dental Centre regularly look after Sydney CBD patients who want to straighten their smile without the look or feel of traditional orthodontic braces. Our patient Evan is a great example. He had orthodontic treatment around ten years ago and noticed his teeth had relapsed over time. He started Invisalign with Dr Michael three months ago, and his progress is tracking exactly as planned.
What Happens At An Invisalign Routine Check
Routine reviews are short, focused appointments that keep treatment on track and your aligners working as designed.
Progress Tracking
Dr Michael checks that the teeth are moving as planned and reviews the fit of your current aligner. If everything is tracking well, you move on to the next set in your sequence, with reviews usually spaced around two months apart.
Attachment Care
Small tooth-coloured attachments help the aligners grip and guide each tooth. Occasionally one of these buttons comes loose, as happened with Evan today. Reattaching is straightforward and takes only a few minutes.
Interproximal Polishing
A small amount of polishing between certain teeth can create the space needed for them to move efficiently. It is gentle, conservative, and often part of a well-planned Invisalign case.
The Beauty Of Clear Aligners
Aligners are removable, so you can eat what you like, brush and floss normally, and travel without disruption. For Sydney professionals juggling meetings, social plans, and time away, that flexibility is a real advantage compared to fixed orthodontic braces.
