Hi, I’m Dr Michael Cai, the principal dentist of Pitt St Dental Centre here in Sydney CBD.
Yesterday, a new patient, James from Bondi, came to our clinic for a smile consultation. During our conversation, I talked to him about Digital Smile Design.
This is such a great question, especially for people considering a smile makeover, so I thought I’d make this short video.
There’s this saying, not just in dentistry, “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail”.
How it works is, we capture photographs and videos which helps us design a smile based around your unique facial features into account when we design your new smile, making sure that it’s in harmony with your teeth, gums, lips, and the rest of your face.
Your new smile will then be digitally designed based around your individual facial proportions, which means the result is as individual and as natural as you are. You can adjust the design and take it home to get the opinions of those who know you best.
This allows us to create the vision on the computer and on the model, and for us to try the vision in your mouth before we actually do any work on your teeth. We can get this approved and signed off by you, and then we can perform the treatment that is required to reach that common goal and vision.
It’s like you would never build a house without having the architect’s drawing approved. You wouldn’t go straight to the builder.
Here at Pitt St Dental Centre, we are well known for cosmetic smile makeovers. We have looked after patients from every day stay home mums, professionals, to TV presenters and sports personalities. We also offer flexible payment plan solutions. So if you are looking at getting a smile upgrade, we would love to take care of you.
