Hi, I’m Dr Michael Cai, the principal dentist of Pitt St Dental Centre here in Sydney CBD.
This morning I was chatting with Patrick from Walsh Bay, who is exploring the All-On-Four treatment to replace his dentures. During our conversation, the topic of price came up. There were a few things I mentioned that he wasn’t aware of before, so I thought I’d share that information with you in case you are also considering All-On-Four.
Factors That Impact the Price of All-On-Four
1. The status of the supporting structure
If a patient has healthy jaw bone and gum tissue and no extractions are required, the cost will be lower because it is quicker to place the dental implants and the prosthesis. If there is significant gum or bony pathology requiring tooth removal, infection cleaning, or bone grafts, the price will be at the higher end.
2. The material you choose
There are two primary materials used for replacement teeth:
- Composite Resin: Modern composite looks natural and is easy to repair, but it wears out faster and is not as aesthetic as porcelain. It is, however, more cost-effective.
- Porcelain: These are stronger, feel more like natural teeth, and are glossy and smooth. They require less maintenance and offer superior aesthetics, though they are more expensive.
The Pitt St Dental Centre Difference
What differentiates us is our full digital workflow. We use Digital Smile Design to allow us to visualise your smile before the procedure starts. This also means no uncomfortable manual impressions; everything is captured using intraoral scanners.
Because of this technology, we can provide your permanent teeth fixed onto the implants usually within 24 to 48 hours. You are never left without teeth for more than two days. Our teeth are crafted by the best dental technicians in the country to ensure perfect fit, comfort, and aesthetics.
I hope this gives you more insight into All-On-Four pricing. At Pitt St Dental Centre, we offer flexible payment plans, and we would love to help you transition away from dentures.
