Worn down dentition, or more simply put, worn down teeth, is a condition where a patient experiences progressive loss of a tooth’s surface due to actions beyond those which cause tooth decay or dental trauma. It is most commonly the result of abrasion, attrition and erosion.
Teeth shift as part of the ageing process. They move to the front of the mouth, particularly those on the bottom arch, which can cause crowding, wear and aesthetic problems. Teeth movement can happen soon after braces or take many years to occur.
After the initial consultation, we decided to give her porcelain veneers to restore her smile.
